​Donna Nordin, former Co‐Owner & Executive Chef of Café Terra Cotta and Chef Joyce Jue offer a series of 3-day international culinary cooking classes in Lake Tahoe.  This program includes 3 demonstration cooking classes with recipes, followed by a complete meal with wine or beer. Special guest Jonn Ash will be teaching one of the classes!

Dry Creek Peach Dinner in the Orchard with Relish Culinary Adventures @ Relish Culinary School

Our annual dinner at Dry Creek Peach is definitely a yearly highlight – this is our eighth year in the orchard! Words just can’t express the beauty of the peach orchard at the peak of season, the cold, sweet taste of White Peach Bellinis on a hot summer evening, the warmth and passion of farmers Gayle and Brian Sullivan as they lead a tour of their organic farm, and the engaging charm of chef John Ash as he orchestrates the cooking and dining experience.  Chef John has created an amazing menu for our dinner, weaving Dry Creek Peaches throughout the entire savory and sweet four-course menu.

We’ll enjoy our sumptuous peach dinner with wonderful J.Rickards wines.

Instructor bio: John Ash is an instructor for the CIA at Greystone’s Sophisticated Palate™ program, the founder of John Ash & Company, and the longtime culinary director for Fetzer Vineyards. His newest venture is Sauvignon Republic Cellars, which specializes in Sauvignon Blancs from around the world. Chef Ash received a James Beard Award for John Ash Cooking One on One: Private Lessons in Simple, Contemporary Food from a Master Teacher.

John has a new book called “Culinary Birds” which was published by Running Press Books in the fall of 2013. In addition to the recipes, the book will tackle the good and the bad about current poultry husbandry practices as well as other things we should know about the noble birds. The book was nominated for a James Beard award.

Last year, World Classic Rockers blew the pool deck up with their repertoire of original hits from Boston, Journey, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Santana and Steppenwolf. They are coming back!! They will be joined by the legendary 70′s rock band America, performing their Grammy winning hits “A Horse With No Name” and “Ventura Highway.”  Also joining us will be Chris Mann, who   boasts a wildly eclectic assortment of songs, ranging from Willie Nelson’s “Always on My Mind” and Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Now” to “Ave Maria” and Damien Rice’s “The Blowers’ Daughter,” with the latter featuring a special guest appearance from Christina Aguilera. Just added The Music of ABBA – ARRIVAL from Sweden tribute band.

 

At this time, we are still busy putting together our onboard program that will consist of Wine and Food hosted dinners, Culinary School classes, Wine and Art classes, Mixology classes, which will feature the newest  “it thing.” … craft beer cocktails and so much more!  Wine tasting for small groups will also be offered.
